What does your negative self-talk sound like? Let’s notice and question the negative self-talk! Let’s find out what it’s trying to help us with and let’s check if it’s actually helping. And who would you be without it? Open to anybody who is tired of the negative self-talk and wants to find a different way.
The Work of Byron Katie is not a philosophy and no rule book. In this 8-week immersion we will identify and question stressful thoughts. It’s an invitation to get still, to look within, to connect with your own wisdom. It’s very lively, engaging, and a powerful experience.
Every class will be recorded for the participants. It’s okay to miss a class – you can make it up on your own time. There is optional partner pairing for accountability and check ins as well as for homework in between classes to go deeper.
In all my work, my personal work as well as with clients, I’ve noticed the common theme of negative self-talk. It seems to be present for (almost) all of us in stress situations and it can be quite challenging to work through. It seems to be coming back…For decades I’ve been acutely aware of the voice in my head – especially as a performing pianist. I tried many techniques and approaches to make those thoughts stop. The Work is the only method I know that consistently and continuously makes a difference. The Work goes to the root of the stress by looking at thoughts. It is an immersive experience that can change the way you look at yourself and the world.
From participants of the Transforming Your Negative Self-Talk class: “My biggest take away from your class was recognizing the futility of expecting someone else to reflect my version of myself back to me. “How do we want to be seen?” That is a heavy assignment for anyone to have to carry. The follow-up statement – I am okay with them not seeing me as . . . – is such an empowering realization. I recognize more often how I give my power and my sense of worth away by relying on others to validate me, especially when they are unaware of what I am expecting from them. This is powerful work. Big blessings to you.” Lawreen A.
“Judith holds space with such beautiful empathy, strength and compassion. I have grown immensely through my time working with her. I highly recommend Judith as both a facilitator of the work, and workshops. Thank you, Judith.” James D.
“Judith was a gracious and enthusiastic host in this workshop. The sessions proceeded at a good clip, providing lots of fresh ways of looking at the topic, negative self-talk. Most importantly, I feel much less afraid of my inner critic than I did when I began the course. “It’s not about being perfect.” Anne J.
